Boy: "Hey Rachael, do you want to go on a date with me?"
Sidenote: Dear reader, you must know that I've already gone on a date with him. Plus he's asked me to go do things with him several times.
Me: "Yes, I would love to. But there is one thing you must know before we go."
Boy: "Alright, what is it?"
Me: "Warning: You shouldn't take this personally. I just have to tell you just to get it out, ya know? Anyways, just know that I'm not interested in anyone. For some reason my brain has basically shut out the possibility of boys until 2015."
Me: "But getting to know you even better sounds like so much fun :)"
Boy: "...I appreciate you letting me know."
Me: "Your thoughts?"
Boy: "It's gonna be hard for me...you're the first girl to make me so happy, and I really like you."
Me: "This is usually the part where the guy goes 'Well, I don't think we should talk anymore of hangout...ever.' I'm sorry that I'm so lame...I just can't afford to lose focus."
Boy: "No, Rachael. You're not lame! And I wouldn't say anything like that."
Me: "Well...according to last semester and the beginning of this semester, I'm not really worth getting to know once they know I'm not interested in anyone. I would be most grateful and happy if we did remain friends. You have no idea."
Question: Why does this always happen to me?
